Jure Robic – the best endurance cyclist of all times, maybe even in all endurance sports. he was simply the best endurance athlet on earth which was recognized worldwide. His  way of handling the stress of endurance racing was something out of this world, only few people can endure such things, maybe he was the only one. Many knew him like they have chosen, some of us were lucky enough to knew him like he was. In his own sincere brutality on the bike, when he destroyed his opponents with style. Just to be with him when he won all those RAAMs was priceless. We were among those who stayed with him on this world and among those who are staying with him even beyond this world. If you ask me why, I can’t produce the answer.

»Nothing was impossible to him. He denied pain and accepted suffering. He used to say that you need time to accomplish difficult things and just a bit more time to accomplish impossible things. And maybe we are here because we never believed him that he is just a human.”

The Foundation want’s to take care of Jure’s name and his memory. All great things he accomplished must not fall into oblivion and no one must not misuse his name for his ignoble aspirations.

Taking care of the name is just a beginning. Juhuhu, kolo je tu is the project in which we are giving out bikes to children from socialy weak families. So they can also feel the simple joy of riding the bike.

“We want to return one part of the funds back to the sport. Imagine young cyclist, being on the start of his ocean to ocean journey for the first time and asking him self what awaits for him on his 3000 miles long race.”

Big signs posted on his crew vehicles: Jure Robic Foundation. Jure will be racing again and that young cyclist will have some additional watts in his engine. Slovenia had, has and will have great endurance cyclists. In the Foundation we want to support promissing cyclists which would dare to continue slovenian domination on the toughest bicycle race on the world. We will support them within our reach. RAAM is a tough race and requires huge funds and many are intimidated by the scale of the race and the scale of logistical preparations. In the Foundation we want to help on that area, we have the experince needed for the task, we have a lot of good will and huge amount of ideas.

We are building the Jure Robic cycling clothes collection which from the beginning stands on the idea to provide equipment for cyclists which are not replicas of great pro tour teams or chinese mass production items which are sold in huge sports stores.

Like Jure, clothes are Slovenian product of the highest quality. Like Jure, items are something special. Jure was a modest guy and so are the clothes available for a reasonable price. All cyclist needs cycling clothes, why not buying something of a high quality, looking good and not expencive?
